Good Morning,

 

I am a highly qualified teacher currently in my fourth year at Yangon Academy International School as Secondary Head of English, teaching grades 9 - 12.  This year I have added the dual role of school counselor, as well. My guiding principles include encouraging student choice, creating an environment of authentic learning, and helping students feel comfortable enough to participate and share their results with a public audience. I feel that it is important for students to understand that learning is a dynamic, exciting and, often, surprising process!

As a teacher, my intent is to instill these ideals:  the responsibilities of global citizenship, collaboration, community, inquiry, reflection, compassion, and respect. I am passionate about my students’ success and care for them deeply.  I welcome the opportunity to further discuss the experience, competencies, and enthusiasms I possess with regards to a position you may have to offer.
